    {{{1}}}

This template allows a custom-made table of contents (TOC) to be used on the page. This is useful for uses on articles where the TOC has a reason to not use the standard format such as with alphabetical organization on lists. This template will automatically remove the automatic TOC from an existing page. The TOC can be re-added with "__FORCETOC__".

The template can be implemented on a page in a number of ways. In the following scenarios "content" refers to the visible content within the TOC. "attributes" refers to additional attributes assigned to the TOC such as styles but NOT classes or IDs. These can be added with "class=" and "id=" respectively.
